札幌、仙台、神戸の新しい伝道部会長が召される

末日聖徒イエス・キリスト教会の大管長会は、日本国内の札幌伝道部、仙台伝道部、神戸伝道部に赴任する新しい伝道部会長を発表した。以下の伝道部会長夫妻は、7月1日からそれぞれの任地へ赴任する。日本語による紹介は、後日、教会機関紙「リアホナ」に掲載される。

Presidents called to serve in Sapporo, Sendai, and Kobe

The following new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service in July.

 

Japan Sapporo Mission

Russell Lee McClure, 63, and Jeni Lee Ahlgrim McClure, five children, Warren Lake Ward, Fort Collins Colorado Stake: Japan Sapporo Mission, succeeding President Hirofumi Nakatsuka and Sister Naoko Nakatsuka. Brother McClure serves as a temple ordinance worker and is a former stake president, stake presidency counselor, bishop and missionary in the Japan Nagoya Mission. Retired Seminaries and Institutes coordinator. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to William Roy McClure and Erva Lucille Larsen McClure.

Sister McClure serves as a Primary teacher and is a former ward Young Women president, ward Relief Society and Primary presidency counselor, and Primary chorister. Born in Santa Monica, California, to Ralph Keith Ahlgrim and Beverly Zundel Woods.

     

Japan Sendai Mission

Osamu Sekiguchi, 54, and Takako Sekiguchi, two children, Nakano Ward, Tokyo Japan Stake: Japan Sendai Mission, succeeding President Jeffrey R. Smith and Sister Karen Smith. Brother Sekiguchi serves in a stake presidency and is a former high councilor, ward YSA adviser, Sunday School teacher, bishopric counselor, ward mission leader and missionary in the Japan Nagoya Mission. Asia North Area public affairs director, Corporation of the President. Born in Tokyo, Japan, to Shoji Sekiguchi and Toki Naoe Sekiguchi.

Sister Sekiguchi serves in a stake Relief Society presidency and is a former stake Young Women presidency counselor, ward YSA adviser, ward Relief Society president, Sunday School teacher, seminary teacher and missionary in the Japan Fukuoka Mission. Born in Hokkaido, Japan, to Susumu Iwahara and Tomoko Suga Iwahara.

     

Japan Kobe Mission

Shane Dee Smoot, 57, and Stacey Ann Burns Smoot, six children, Lakeview Ward, Utah Centerville North Stake: Japan Kobe Mission, succeeding President Phillip K. Welch and Sister Julie N. Welch. Brother Smoot is a former stake presidency counselor, bishop, high councilor, stake executive secretary, stake Young Men president and missionary in the Japan Okayama Mission. Founder and president, NovaSource Management. Born in Salt Lake City to Stanley Millard Smoot and Mary Ellen Wood Smoot.

Sister Smoot serves as a Primary activity day leader and is a former stake Primary president, ward Relief Society and Young Women president, Young Women adviser and Primary teacher. Born in Rexburg, Idaho, to Keven Henry Burns and Dallas Pauline Jordan Burns Hatch.
